Katie's Picks
"These new ringside tables from Chris Christensen are sturdy yet lightweight (great for Westminster back-and-forth, plus they have a carrying strap)."
"If you use hairspray on your dog, having a full can of good quality hairspray on hand is a MUST, especially at a show like Westminster. Stock up if this is your go-to, or consider having one as a back-up in case your typical spray doesn't cut it."
"If you show your dog on a chain, look no further! With several colors, sizes and styles to choose from (curved, snake, martingale) this is a great line of show chains."
"Fantastic for general brushing, but also for scissoring and fighting static because it delivers a very fine spray. Use with your favorite brushing spray, but I'd recommend using sprays on the lighter side."
"I love to have a colour product on hand for last minute touch-ups or to hide unfortunate blemishes. These Show Tech+ powders also provide volume and texture but are suitable for a variety of coats - and colors!"
"Especially at Westminster (going back-and-forth between hotels, benching, breed judghing, and The Garden) having totes to keep your grooming equipment organized and at arm's reach is really key. These tote bags not only make it easy to transport your ringside items but have many slots and pouches to keep it all organized."
My Favorite Westminster Memory
"One of my favorite Westminster memories is from my first time at Westminster, and the last year breed judging took place at Madison Square Garden. As an assistant, I watched my mentor Allison Alexander win the variety in Standard Poodles on the Garden floor; and later that night, to walk up into the stands and witness Group judging at The Garden for the first time was something I will never forget!"
